Meet the Team
Kirtan Tutor of Mathematics
Having pursued an actuarial career for the past six years, Kirtan is now training to be a Teacher of Mathematics and is pursuing a PGCE in Mathematics at the UCL Institute of Education, having obtained a Scholarship from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA). He has completed 14 of the 15 actuarial examinations, perceived to be some of the most difficult mathematical and statistical examinations out there and was rewarded with the Beta Gamma Sigma award for academic excellence in his Masters. Through this process, he has built up significant knowledge of examiners’ thought processes as well as a good understanding of the interrelationships between theoretical and practical applications of mathematics to the real world. With an ability to successfully communicate complex concepts in a simple manner, Kirtan is a tutor who is able to offer support to students from KS3 up to A-level.
Undergraduate degree: BSc Mathematics with Hons at University of Warwick (completed, First Class)
Postgraduate degree: MSc Actuarial Management, Cass Business School (completed, Distinction);
PGCE in Mathematics, the UCL Institute of Education (ongoing)
A-level results: AA in Mathematics and Further Mathematics
GCSE results: A* in Mathematics

Kirtan tutors Mathematics to students from KS3 up to A-level, helping them build a strong conceptual understanding of the subject.
Kirtan is currently training to become a Teacher of Mathematics and pursuing a PGCE at the UCL Institute of Education.
Kirtan is able to travel to students based in Elstree, Edgware and Stanmore.
