Henrietta Barnett School has released important information for students preparing to sit 11+ entrance examinations regarding a change in examination dates:
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that candidates for Year 7 entry in September 2021 will not have been in school for about 6 months, grammar schools have been advised not to have their entrance tests at the start of September and to put in place measures to increase their safety when they sit the tests. So in the best interests of our candidates, we have arranged to hold our Round One entrance test over the three days from Wednesday 30th September to Friday 2nd October. This should enable the candidates to have some time in school before sitting the test and will allow us to have smaller numbers attending at each session, enabling us to follow Public Health England and Department of Education guidelines to mitigate the risk of the virus.
The Round Two Entrance Test for those ranked in the top 300 after the first round, will take place in early November 2020. Please note that these dates are subject to change if there is different advice from Public Health England or the Department for Education, so please monitor this page for any further updates. Full details, including entrance test timings, will be emailed out to candidates by 30th August."
