Trefoil Tutors was established in 2011 with a mission to bring a new level of professionalism to tutoring. Providing outstanding teaching and learning and enriching a student’s educational experience are at the forefront of all that we do.
We offer specialist small group tuition for Years 3 to 13, in order to augment and support the teaching that students receive in school.
Our business is based on three foundational values: Personal, Passionate, Professional.
Being a tutor at Trefoil Tutors goes far beyond providing a platform for outstanding teaching and learning. Our tutors are seen as mentors to students as much as they are teachers. Getting to know students and their families during their time with us is a cornerstone of what we hold to be important and is paramount in ensuring we can communicate effectively with our clients.
At Trefoil Tutors, we are equally committed to sharing our subject knowledge as well as our love of the subjects we teach with our students. Making lessons dynamic, interesting and engaging helps us develop an enjoyment of the subject and promote life-long learning in our students. We are unashamedly geeky!
All too often, tutoring is seen as an additional job. Our team see tutoring differently - we approach it as a vocation in itself. We aim to professionalise all we do, both with regards to our tutoring and our administrative procedures. We use the exceptionally high standards of top Independent and Grammar Schools as the benchmark we hold ourselves to.

As we enter Week 3 of the Autumn Term, we would like to remind students that this is the first assessment week of the Term. Students will be sitting a 20-minute assessment in their lessons this week. Some classes will not be given an assessment this week, for example, Reasoning students and some A Level classes. For these classes, a longer assessment will be given in Week 6.
Remember to follow Vivek and Rebecca’s advice in this week’s Senior Tutor Update video and the Welcome Booklet on how best to revise for these assessments!

In this week's Senior Tutor Update, Vivek reflects on how quickly the first quarter of the term has passed. Vivek reminds parents to ensure that they have logged in to the portal to receive up-to-date feedback which is being written by our tutors. The feedback written in the next fortnight will refer to the first two assignment sheets as well as the first assessment, which will be sat by the tutees this week. Our Director of Studies, Rebecca, then shares her advice as students revise for their first assessment this academic year. Have a great week, everyone, and very best of luck for the Assessment Week!

We are delighted to remind parents that this academic year, we continue to offer the full-year booking discount of £100 until the end of the first Half Term, on Sunday, the 15th of October.
So far, 23% parents have booked their child's place in the group lessons for the full academic year and have received the £100 discount (for students attending 36 lessons throughout the year).
Students in Year 11 and Year 13 will be attending a smaller number of lessons throughout the year; therefore, their discount is calculated pro-rata.
If you would like to use the full-year payment discount, please contact our Registrar, Esther, at registrar@trefoiltutors.co.uk, who will then send you a revised invoice.
For the discount to apply, we must receive your full year payment by 5pm on Sunday, the 15th of October.
