We began the lesson by collecting in the homework from the last lesson (Y8.1.03). Next, I returned assignment Y8.1.02 and assessment Y8.1.01a and students reviewed their corrections. The class were then taught the first rule of triangles and Pythagoras' theorem. After taking down the notes, the class worked through the two sheets attached. We will complete our work on this next lesson. The homework is to complete assignment Y8.1.04 (attached).

The focus of today's lesson was to teach loci. The class were shown how to construct perpendicular and angle bisectors. The class then worked through the sheet attached. Next, the class were taught how to find loci around shapes and, again, we worked through the sheet attached. Finally, these two processes were combined in the final worksheet of the lesson. The homework is to complete assignment Y9.1.08 (attached) and to revise for the assessment next lesson.
