Trefoil Tutors was established in 2011 with a mission to bring a new level of professionalism to tutoring. Providing outstanding teaching and learning and enriching a student’s educational experience are at the forefront of all that we do.
We offer specialist small group tuition for Years 3 to 13, in order to augment and support the teaching that students receive in school.
Our business is based on three foundational values: Personal, Passionate, Professional.
Being a tutor at Trefoil Tutors goes far beyond providing a platform for outstanding teaching and learning. Our tutors are seen as mentors to students as much as they are teachers. Getting to know students and their families during their time with us is a cornerstone of what we hold to be important and is paramount in ensuring we can communicate effectively with our clients.
At Trefoil Tutors, we are equally committed to sharing our subject knowledge as well as our love of the subjects we teach with our students. Making lessons dynamic, interesting and engaging helps us develop an enjoyment of the subject and promote life-long learning in our students. We are unashamedly geeky!
All too often, tutoring is seen as an additional job. Our team see tutoring differently - we approach it as a vocation in itself. We aim to professionalise all we do, both with regards to our tutoring and our administrative procedures. We use the exceptionally high standards of top Independent and Grammar Schools as the benchmark we hold ourselves to.

As we complete the first half of the Spring Term, we are delighted to see students continuing to follow good routines in their learning. In order to help students practise little and often during their break in order to keep academic regression at bay, our lead Mathematics, English and Science tutors Vivek, Milda and Rebecca have prepared a set of holiday work assignments.
Based on the material covered so far in the Spring Term, the assignments are a great way to help students review the topics from the weeks just gone as well as make a running start for the second half of Spring Term.
To access the holiday work assignments and answers, please follow the link below: https://www.trefoiltutors.co.uk/free-holiday-materials/
We hope you find these useful in your revision!

With a number of Independent Schools sending out offer emails last week, it is not surprising that our social media threads are awash with parents asking for advice on how to choose the right secondary school for their child.
Therefore, our Senior Tutor Vivek Gathani thought it would be beneficial to record a short video extending his advice to the broader 11+ community in the hope that it will help parents who are facing similar decisions.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update, Vivek wishes all our students, parents and staff a restful Half Term break as we mark the half-way point in the academic year. Vivek reminds everyone that the office will be closed between Monday, 13th February and Sunday, 19th February inclusively. Rebecca's rearranged Science lessons will take place on Sunday, 19th February.
Vivek encourages our students to use the Half Term break to rest up and re-charge their batteries. This is especially true for our Year 11 and Year 13 students. Vivek reminds students to complete the holiday work; not only for the subject they attend at Trefoil but all the holiday work produced for their year group. Vivek reiterates the need for students to keep their folders organised, with up-to-date overview sheets. This will help kick-start students' revision which will likely begin during the Easter holidays.
