Vaiva, Nov. 9, 2020
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement to impose a second lockdown, we have been closely following updates to the guidelines outlined by the Government. Regrettably, we have been forced to temporarily take our lessons online from Thursday 5th November 2020. Please note that we will return to face-to-face lessons as soon as we are allowed to by the Government. We will continue to monitor and reassess the situation daily.
I would like to reiterate here that it is very much our desire to resume face-to-face lessons as soon as it is permitted. Having learnt valuable lessons from taking our classes online during the first lockdown, we are delighted to be able to utilise and expand upon best practices from earlier in the year. As we have discussed previously, online lessons are not a substitute for face-to-face lessons, but we are confident that we have devised a formula which will allow students to continue their progression through the curriculum and maintain the momentum from the first half of term.
As teachers, our role is to educate, motivate and inspire young people. We know that, during lockdown periods, schools often struggle to maintain continuity, with teachers and students off sick and bubbles being asked to self-isolate. During periods such as these, continuity is key. At this time, above any, it is paramount that we prioritise students’ educational and emotional well-being despite the restrictions. Our team will continue to do all we can to support students and families through this time and we would like to thank you for your help and support.
