As Year 6 students dive into the final stage of preparing for the upcoming 11+ entrance examinations, we would like to share with you FREE 11+ English and Mathematics mock examination papers.

The Mathematics mock examination paper is written by Vivek Gathani, our lead Mathematics tutor who helped write and mark the 11+ entrance examinations when teaching at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School. You can access the paper on our website:

The English paper is written by our lead English tutor Milda Sabunaite, who has been preparing pupils for 11+ entrance examinations to grammar and independent schools since 2013. You can access the paper on our website:

The answers to both papers will be published on our Facebook page next week; do follow us @TrefoilTutors to be notified about when the answers are published.

Following enquiries from a number of parents, we are delighted to inform you that during the October half-term and the Christmas holidays we will be running Mathematics and English mock examinations for pupils who are preparing to sit 11+ entrance examinations to independent schools this January. The mock examinations are modelled on 11+ entrance examination papers to independent schools in the area.

The mock examination papers are also written by Vivek Gathani and Milda Sabunaite.

The mocks will take place at our premises in Elstree (5 Theobald Court, Theobald Street, WD6 4RN). The students will have the opportunity to sit a different Mathematics mock examination paper and an English mock examination paper each day.

We will simultaneously run a Mathematics mock examination and an English mock examination at each of the following times:

Friday, October 26th
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Saturday, November 3rd
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Tuesday, December 18th
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Thursday, December 20th
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Saturday, December 22nd
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Wednesday, January 2nd
10am–12pm
12:30pm–2:30pm

Each 2-hour-long exam session will contain:

• An introduction to the paper structure by the tutor;
• A brief Q&A session for the students about the 11+ process;
• Sitting the 60-minute-long examination;
• A 15-minute break while the tutor marks the papers;
• A review of the paper highlighting common mistakes.

Each mock exam will be attended by no more than 6 pupils at a time. The papers will be marked and returned to the students the same day. The students' parents will also receive statistical analysis of the cohort's results as a whole.

The cost of attending a mock exam is £75 (incl. VAT) for one examination in either Mathematics or English and £150 (incl. VAT) for attending both Mathematics and English mock examinations.
