With the 11+ entrance examinations to Independent Schools taking place in the coming months, we would like to remind parents of the final places available in the upcoming mock examinations that will take place in December and January. As we have received a great deal of interest regarding the mock examinations from students who are not attending our lessons, a large number of places in the mock examinations have already been booked.

About the mock examinations

The Mathematics mock examination papers are written by Vivek Gathani, our lead Mathematics tutor who helped write and mark the 11+ entrance examinations when teaching at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School.

The English mock examination papers are written by Milda Gathani, our lead English tutor who has been preparing pupils for 11+ entrance examinations to grammar and independent schools since 2013.

The Reasoning mock examination papers are written by Rebecca Muhley, our Director of Studies and Reasoning and Science tutor. Rebecca is a qualified teacher with over nine years of teaching experience.

The mocks will take place at our premises in Elstree (5 Theobald Court, Theobald Street, WD6 4RN).

Dates and times

Students have the opportunity to sit three different mock examination papers for Mathematics, English and Reasoning.

Paper 1

Saturday the 19th of December at 12pm-2pm (Mathematics)

Saturday the19th of December at 2:30pm-4:30pm (Mathematics)

Saturday the 19th of December at 9:30am-11:30am (Reasoning)

Paper 2

Sunday the 3rd of January at 12pm-2pm (Mathematics)

Sunday the 3rd of January at 9:30am-11:30am (Reasoning)

Each 2-hour-long exam session will contain:

• an introduction to the paper structure by the tutor;
• a brief Q&A session for the students about the 11+ process;
• sitting the 60-minute-long examination;
• a 15 minute break while the tutor marks the papers;
• a review of the paper highlighting common mistakes.

Each mock exam will be attended by no more than 8 pupils at a time. The papers will be marked and returned to the students the same day.

The cost of attending a mock exam is £75 (incl. VAT) for one examination.

We are pleased to offer a discounted price of £60 (incl. VAT) per examination to students who are currently attending face-to-face or online lessons with us.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
