MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

Lucy, May 15, 2023

Mental Health Awareness week commences today, with a focus on anxiety.

Anxiety is something we all experience from time-to-time - but it is important to remember you do not have to go through it alone. If you are finding things difficult, speaking to someone might help. A number of charities have dedicated helplines and are ready to offer you their ear and support.

Focusing on anxiety for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week will increase people's awareness and understanding of anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a deeper problem. The Mental Health Foundation offers some useful advice on how to deal with anxiety on a day-to-day basis: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work/public-engagement/mental-health-awareness-week/what-can-we-do-cope-feelings-anxiety
