In this week's Senior Tutor Update, Vivek reminds parents and students that this is the last teaching week of the Term at Trefoil (although many schools will still have a further week). Two weeks ago, Vivek urged us all to make the most of the final three weeks of term and he now reflects on how well students have taken this advice on. Vivek wishes students good luck in their revision for end-of-term assessments, the 11+ examinations as well as university interviews. Vivek ends by providing two reminders: parent report call bookings deadline on Thursday of Week 12 and the registration deadline for Spring Term lessons has now passed.
Our Director of Studies Rebecca discusses the preparation for mock examinations for our GCSE and A Level candidates, highlighting that these are to be seen as a learning experience which provides space for reflection and allows students to tailor their future revision more successfully. Rebecca advises students to spend time analysing their mock examinations using the WWW/EBI approach which is immensely helpful when preparing to the final examinations in the summer.
