Trefoil Tutors is an awarding-winning tuition provider, recognised as the Best Tuition and Educational Support Provider in the South East region by UK Enterprise Awards and shortlisted by Education Investor Awards. Founded in 2011 with the aim of bringing a new level of professionalism to tutoring in North London, Trefoil Tutors provide group lessons which follow structured courses designed to support and augment the work studied in school as well as help students prepare for 11+, GCSE and A Level examinations.
At Trefoil Tutors, our lessons aim to support students starting the next challenge in their educational careers: the move from primary to secondary school, and the academic demands that come along with this shift. To facilitate a smooth transition through Key Stage 3, we offer lessons in Mathematics, Science and English; our lessons focus on consolidating knowledge learned in the earlier Key Stages, whilst preparing a solid foundation for further studies.
Mathematics group lessons are taught by our Senior Tutor, Vivek Gathani, a qualified teacher with four years of experience teaching Mathematics at Haberdashers’ Boys’ School. With a PGCE from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, Vivek has over fourteen years of experience in private tutoring.
Additional Mathematics group lessons are taught by Dr Chris Sear, an excellent tutor with an approachable and engaging teaching style. Chris holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and has spent four years running small group sessions for undergraduate Cambridge mathematicians.
English group lessons are taught by Milda Gathani, our Lead English tutor an outstanding full-time tutor with over five years of experience in private tutoring and ten years of working with educational youth charities. Milda has a BA(Hons) in Politics from the University of York and a MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance from the University of Amsterdam.
Science group lessons are taught by our Lead Tutor of Science and Reasoning, Rebecca Muhley, a qualified teacher with over ten years of classroom teaching experience. This coupled with her experience as an AQA examiner help Rebecca support students to reach the highest outcomes. Rebecca holds a BSc (ARCS) from Imperial College London in Biochemistry.
