As we enter Week 9 of the Autumn Term, we would like to remind students that this is the first assessment week of the Half Term. Students will be sitting a 20-minute assessment in their lessons this week.

We would like to remind parents of our current students that priority registration for the Spring Term has now begun.

As always, in order to help ensure continuity of teaching and learning, we would like to give priority to students already attending the lessons to book their place in the upcoming term before we offer any available places to pupils on our waiting list.

We would like to wish the best of luck to all our 11+ students sitting the first round of entrance examinations for City of London School for Girls between November 14th and 19th November!

We know you have worked hard preparing for your examinations. Now is the time to stay focused and remember the lessons learned during your revision and practice.

For those students who are currently studying towards their GCSE and A Levels and who find themselves lacking materials for independent revision, our Lead English and Mathematics tutors have compiled a set of past papers for AQA, Edexcel, OCR, OCR MEI and Solomon exam boards. We have also gathered a set of A Level Economics past papers for AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

The Primary Maths Challenge commences this week, with Year 5 and Year 6 students competing for gold, silver and bronze certificates across the country.

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 is coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. It will take place from 10th to 14th November 2025 and has the theme “Power for Good”.

The week will kick off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November, where adults and children wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

We would like to take this day to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedom. The team at Trefoil will be observing the one-minute’s silence at 11am during our lessons on Sunday morning.

Did you know that November is the month to read more non-fiction?

As part of the National Non-Fiction Month, children are invited to create their own postcard and win a selection of non-fiction books.

We hope that all our students and their parents enjoyed a relaxing Half Term break. Today, Monday, the 3rd of November, we resume the Autumn Term and welcome all our students back to our group lessons.

After a successful first six lessons, our Half Term Break begins today, with no group lessons taking place between the 20th of October and the 2nd of November.
