Trefoil Tutors is an award-winning tuition provider offering specialist small group tuition for Years 3 to 13, in order to augment and support the teaching that students receive in school. To fully prepare our prospective 11+ candidates for their examinations, we have created a comprehensive course that covers Mathematics, English and Reasoning (both verbal and non-verbal). For Mathematics and English, this process begins in January of Year 3. We then introduce our students to the Reasoning course in January of Year 4. Having built a solid foundation in their reading, writing, numeracy and geometry skills in Year 3, we build upon these in Year 4 where we can further develop the skills required to successfully engage with the 11+ content. Once the course is taught, students begin 11+ papers which are given to students in an appropriate order.

At Trefoil Tutors, we value the importance of maintaining an ongoing conversation between parents, tutors and students as a key factor in maintaining tutee progress and development. As the Summer Term comes to an end, we would therefore like to invite parents to book a meeting to speak to your child’s tutor and discuss their progress throughout the academic year. These meetings will build on the personalised feedback the tutors upload to the online portal every week.

As we enter Week 9 of the Summer Term, we would like to remind students that this is the third assessment week of the Term. Students will be sitting a 20-minute assessment in their lessons this week. Some classes will not be given an assessment this week, for example, Reasoning students and some A Level classes. For these classes, a longer assessment will be given in Week 12.
