We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by our students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.

In order to help students practise little and often during their holidays and keep academic regression at bay, our lead Mathematics, English and Science tutors Vivek, Kishan and Rebecca have prepared a set of holiday work assignments. Based on the material covered throughout the Autumn Term, the assignments are a great way to help students review the topics from the term just gone as well as make a running start for the term to come.

We are thrilled to invite all our students to take part in the Trefoil Christmas Writing Competition!

Open to Trefoil students from Year 3 to Year 9, this competition invites participants to craft a captivating and descriptive story depicting the journey of The Three Wise Men.

After a successful first term of the 2025/2026 academic year, our Christmas Break begins today, with no group lessons taking place between Monday, the 15th of December and Sunday, the 4th of January. Lessons will resume on Monday, the 5th of January.

At Trefoil Tutors, we believe that our role extends beyond the classroom. As educators who see tutoring and teaching as a lifelong vocation, we feel that it is important to share with our parents the collective insight our tutors have gained from years of experience in the teaching profession both in and out of schools. Having supported hundreds of tutees over the years, combined with our knowledge of schools in the North London area, we hope that our advice evenings can offer practical insight into the 11+ process, making the most of secondary school, preparing for GCSEs and A Levels, applying to university and beyond.

Using the national curriculum as their skeleton, our Lead Tutors at @trefoiltutors have designed detailed and comprehensive schemes of work followed in our lessons. Materials are expertly prepared with notes, classwork sheets, assignment sheets and assessments to help navigate students through each Key Stage. In order to gain the full benefit of our group lessons, we recommend that students preparing for 11+ entry join our lessons starting in January of Year 3 for English and Mathematics and in September of Year 4 for Reasoning.

We would like to remind students and parents that this is the final week of group lessons before we begin our Christmas break. The Autumn Term ends on Sunday, the 14th of December. After the break, all group lessons will resume on Monday, the 5th of January.

Do remember to review your classwork notes and homework assignments in preparation!

At Trefoil Tutors, we value the importance of maintaining an ongoing conversation between parents, tutors and students as a key factor in maintaining tutee progress and development. As the Autumn Term comes to an end, we would therefore like to invite parents to book a meeting to speak to your child’s tutor and discuss their progress throughout the academic year so far. These meetings will build on the personalised feedback the tutors upload to the online portal every week.
