As schools pause for the Easter holidays, we are delighted to share free Mathematics, English and Science holiday work prepared by our lead tutors Vivek, Milda and Rebecca for our students from Year 3 to Year 13. The holiday work includes assignments, written answers and Mathematics holiday work has accompanying video solutions from the tutor. These materials are freely available via our website.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update video, Vivek and Milda send their warmest Easter greetings from their garden as Trefoil Tutors take a break during the holidays. For those who are looking to continue practising their mathematics, English and Science during the break, our lead tutors have published a set of holiday work with answers. We look forward to seeing you in two weeks!

We would like to remind parents of our current students that priority registration for the Summer Term ends today at 7pm. Please do make sure to book your child's place before this date to ensure continuity. Any places that are not booked by this time will be offered to students on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis starting on Friday, the 2nd of April.

Please note that we are running an adjusted lesson schedule this week due to Easter Sunday falling on the 4th of April. Therefore, none of our regular lessons will take place on Friday the 2nd, Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of April - instead, these lessons will take place after the Easter Holidays, on the 16th, 17th and 18th of April respectively. The Summer Term will begin on Monday, the 19th of April.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update, our lead tutors Vivek, Milda and Rebecca share useful advice on how to revise for the final assessment of the Spring Term.

"For the 11+, I’m happy with all that Vivek has done. He is always here to advise me. If she is struggling with something, I’ll always say to him that she is finding this hard or she is not coping with this very well, and he’ll always come up with a solution for me – he is always so helpful."

Please do make sure to book your child's place before this date to ensure continuity of lessons. Any places that are not booked by this date will be offered to students on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis. In this week's Senior Tutor Update, Vivek highlights that although many schools are breaking up for their Easter holidays in the coming days, our Term at Trefoil continues with Weeks 11 and 12 to complete. Vivek also shares the exciting news of the launch of our "Back on Track" online Mathematics course for students who are looking to spend the Summer Term and the holidays catching up on course material missed throughout this academic year.

"I love the fact that we had mock exams here, which the children certainly have found very helpful and identifying what her weaknesses are and what she needs to improve on. I think the whole programme has been fantastic."

The Times Education Supplement have produced an overview of information about this year's procedure of awarding grades, appeals and resits.

In this week's Senior Tutor Update, Vivek reflects on the challenges students have encountered upon their return to school after a long period of online learning and offers advice on how to manage energy levels. As all current students' parents have received information about registering for the upcoming term, summer lessons and the new academic year, our Registrar Milda reviews the registration process highlighting the key deadlines and answering common questions from parents.

"We found is that the feedback is very structured, and in fact even more detailed than what you get in a school report, because it’s just focusing on one subject."

Today, we would like to wish the best of luck to all of our students who are returning to school after a challenging period of home learning. We hope you enjoy seeing your classmates and teachers again! Unfortunately, we are not yet permitted to open our doors so our lessons will continue running online as usual; however, we look forward to returning to face-to-face lessons after the Easter holidays.

Vivek also wishes good luck to all those returning to schools on Monday - although our offices remain closed until the end of the term, we hope you enjoy seeing your school classmates and teachers again!

Today, we celebrate World Book Day! Although it sometimes may seem that today is about fancy dress costumes rather than books, we would like to encourage our young readers to pick up a new book this week and nurture their good reading habits.

To help students choose their next read, our lead English tutor Milda and our Digital Media Designer Vaiva have created beautiful Reading Bingo cards for students in each year group based on the reading recommendations Milda has compiled for this year.
