We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“For me, it has been a pleasure working with Trefoil. That’s why my children come here - because I enjoy the experience of being a parent and working with Trefoil, but also my children enjoy coming here. Whenever I have needed any help or guidance with anything - whether it be about schools, or just Maths in general, Vivek has always been available to offer me guidance and he’s been extremely supportive.”

We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“Vivek has been a brilliant Maths tutor for both of our children. I think that he’s got a very good style of teaching. The way Vivek explains new concepts to the children is very easy to understand. We have been fortunate enough to see some of his lesson videos via the portal and the way that he explains things makes it feasible for us to understand as well. I think that he’s got a very good connection with the children, they find him funny and entertaining as well, which helps their enjoyment.”

We are delighted to share the news that Trefoil Tutors was announced the winner at the National Tutoring Awards 2024 in the category of Tuition Provider for Evaluating Impact!
Awarded by the Tutors’ Association, this prestigious national award celebrates excellence in the tutoring industry and we are very proud to be recognised as one of the country’s leading providers of tutoring services.
At Trefoil Tutors, professionalism and provision of teaching and learning of the highest quality are at the very core of the service we offer our students and their parents. We work to augment and support, rather than replace, a child’s educational development at school. With over a decade of experience in delivering private tutoring, we truly believe that small-group lessons, taught and run in the right way, are the future of education.
As we celebrate the award, we would like to express our most sincere thanks to all our students and their parents for their ongoing support and commitment throughout the years, as well as our team who continue to work relentlessly in order to provide tutoring of the highest standard to each and every one of our clients.

We are delighted to have registered over 270 students who have already booked their places in our Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English, Reasoning, Science and Chemistry lessons for the Autumn Term.
We are now excited to offer the final available places to students who are on our waiting list as well as those who are getting in touch with us for the first time.
Please see the currently available places on our website: https://www.trefoiltutors.co.uk/availability/
At Trefoil Tutors, we are incredibly proud of the quality of teaching and learning we deliver across a range of different subjects. In our small group lessons, our team of qualified teachers and experienced tutors aim to augment and support the work done by schools. Students are taught according to a structured scheme of work and are given weekly homework assignments and regular assessments which are all prepared in-house by our tutors, with weekly individual feedback provided to parents via our personalised online portal.
A far cry away from traditional one-to-one tuition, our lessons take place in purpose-built classrooms in our Elstree office where tutors are supported by a full-time administrative team to ensure they can spend their time teaching. All our tutors are qualified teachers or experienced tutors who are subject specialists and have been DBS checked, fully insured and have attended safeguarding courses run at Trefoil Tutors. These are the standards expected at top schools in the country and we firmly believe tutors should hold themselves to the same standards.
If you would like to join our lessons in the new academic year, or if you would like to learn more about our services, please do get in touch - we look forward to hearing from you!

We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“At Trefoil Tutors, you are regularly updated on your child’s progress. If they have homework they haven’t submitted - you’re notified of that by email. You are fully aware of what is going on and on a termly basis you’ll have a one-to-one consultation with your tutor as well, where you can discuss anything you like and any issues that you might have, or any questions or any anxiety that you might be feeling. You don’t have to chase any of that. And even throughout the course of the term, if you want to call, they’re more than happy to take your calls then as well.”
Connor, July 24, 2024
At Trefoil Tutors, we know that the educational experience extends far beyond the confines of an individual lesson. To help maintain engagement and avoid academic regression, our Lead Tutors Vivek, Milda and Rebecca have prepared a series of subject-specific projects for our students to complete over the Summer Holidays.
The deadline for submitting all projects is Saturday, the 31st of August. Projects can either be emailed to office@trefoiltutors.co.uk or handed in to your tutor in person. Late submissions will not be accepted.
The student who produces the best project in each year group, as decided by each lead tutor, will be awarded with subject-themed prizes once they return to Trefoil Tutors in the new academic year.

MATHS SUMMER PROJECT - WRITTEN BY VIVEK:
I am delighted to announce that Year 3 to Year 10 students will have the opportunity to create a Summer Mathematics Project.
The Project can take any form that the student wishes; be that an essay, a PowerPoint presentation, a video, a poster or anything else that catches their eye. There is no word limit or page limit to their endeavours; I would hate to set a glass ceiling to their creativity!
However, this is not a completely blank canvas. The students’ Summer Mathematics Project does need to focus on one of the topics listed for their respective year group. These topics have been selected as they are based on elements of the mathematics scheme of work that has been taught this academic year.
CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION - WRITTEN BY KISH:
I am delighted to invite all students from Year 3 to Year 11 to take part in our Summer Creative Writing Competition and employ their creativity and imagination to compose a piece of creative fiction. The list of titles for each year group’s creative writing pieces can be found on our website.
Your story can be typed or handwritten; it must have a clear link to the title and be no longer than 1,000 words. The entries will be considered within each year group. The top entry within the year group will be awarded.
KITCHEN SCIENCE INVESTIGATIONS - WRITTEN BY REBECCA:
The Summer Holidays are a great time to complete some science investigations within your very own home!
I have put together a series of activities, one for each year group, linked to content that we have covered in lessons this academic year. I have also put together an investigation for Junior School students for any budding scientists out there! The science investigations focus on enquiry skills helping students delve into the linked scientific research, hone their experimental skills, and practice data handling.
Each science investigation has an 8-page section to complete that guides you throughout the entire investigation. Print out the relevant section for your year group and complete all of your answers in the spaces provided. Please use additional lined paper if required.
We look forward to reading your projects!

We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“We have seen a huge improvement in Lakesha’s subject knowledge in Maths. Her confidence, for a start, has improved, as well as the way she answers questions, her attitude in class - being able to put her hand up and ask questions, but most importantly, her grades at school have improved and we noticed this within a few months of starting lessons at Trefoil.”
Connor, July 19, 2024
At Trefoil Tutors, we are very proud of the quality of the Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English, Reasoning, Science and Chemistry lessons prepared and delivered by our tutors.
Each of our lessons is focused on a particular topic with a set of classwork exercises and a homework assignment; every three weeks, students sit an in-class assessment. All our materials are unique and written in-house by our subject-specialist tutors to fit the carefully planned scheme of work for the year group.
Today, we would like to share with you two free Mathematics lessons taught by our Senior Tutor Vivek - a Year 8 lesson on Pythagoras' Theorem and a Year 9 lesson on Loci. Both lessons come with a full set of materials as well as a teaching video from the tutor. We hope the young mathematicians among us find these useful!

We are delighted to share with you the positive feedback contributed by the parents of students who have attended our group lessons and found these enjoyable and beneficial to their learning.
“Going through the 11+ process can be quite stressful for parents, especially if you haven’t had a child go through it beforehand, because you aren’t sure of what to do, how to do it, or what schools to apply for. There was a lot of guidance from Vivek and Milda with regards to 11+ preparation and which schools to choose. There was advice available when I needed it. They were able to tell me how my children were progressing through the subject matter, so it gave us confidence in knowing what choices to make in the 11+ journey. They involved the children in the decision-making process as well, so it was really useful.
There’s a wide variety of subjects involved in the 11+: English, Maths and Reasoning. Therefore there’s a lot of subject matter that you can use to help prepare your child. For me it was brilliant, especially when the results and the offers for interviews came out. The support didn’t just stop there either, it was ongoing, right through until the very end of the 11+ programme, which meant you felt fully supported throughout the entire journey.”
