During the last few weeks, we have asked our students’ parents for feedback regarding their experience using our services. We are grateful to have received as many as 40 responses – thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! Here are some of the results of this year’s feedback survey:

"I would definitely recommend Trefoil Tutors, not only for the skills of their individual tutors, but the structure and organisation of the group as a whole. They offer well-constructed end of term tests and end of year mock exams which allow the students a great trial run before the real thing!"

After the half-term break, we are excited to welcome all our students back for the fourth set of lessons which begin on Monday, the 25th of February. We look forward to seeing you for another half-term!

We would like to remind all parents of our current students that this is the last week of lessons for Set 3, which means this is the final week of priority registration! To book your place for the next set of lessons, please make sure we receive your payment before the end of the week. Set 4 of group lessons will begin after the half-term break, on the 25th of February.

We would like to say a big congratulations to all the students who have sat their 11+ entrance exams. 21 out of 24 of our students were invited for interviews at their first choice of school, with 8 out of 11 boys being offered an interview at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School. Very well done! If there’s anything we can do to help with upcoming interviews don’t hesitate to get in touch!

We would like to remind parents of our current students that priority registration for Set 4 of group lessons is now open. Your child’s place in the lessons is reserved until the 17th of February; after this date, any places that have not been booked will be offered to students on the waiting list on a first-come, first served basis.

Suhan has recently been moved into an accelerated group, where children can learn more as the speed and depth is differentiated for this group of children. That helps Suhan push forward towards his preparations for exams.

To celebrate International Education Day which took place this week, our lead English Tutor Milda would like to encourage you to get involved in our Trefoil Tutors International Education Day challenge!

Today we celebrate the world’s very first International Day of Education! On 3rd December 2018, the United Nations General Assembly declared the 24th of January as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development around the world.

We are delighted to have been able to support the learning of so many children throughout the past years – this day is a great reminder to appreciate and treasure the learning opportunities accessible to us!

As Trefoil Tutors continues to grow, we are delighted to share an exciting opportunity to become part of our team!

We are currently looking for an experienced Mathematics tutor to offer one-to-one lessons up to GCSE or A-level. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in planning, teaching and evaluating outstanding Mathematics lessons and have demonstrated a passion for their subject.

The lessons would take place on a weekly basis during term-time, on weekday evenings or weekends at our office in Elstree or at tutee’s home. The successful candidate must be able to start running the lessons in February 2019 or September 2019 and commit to the position for at least one academic year.

On the 19th of January, we hosted the third Professional Development Seminar as part of the Professional Development Programme at Trefoil Tutors. In the seminar, our Senior Tutor Vivek Gathani discussed our Code of Conduct with the tutors and analysed potential situations that may arise when working with children.

At Trefoil Tutors, tutor development and child protection are two cornerstones of the professionalism that we bring to tutoring and we were delighted that so many of our team were able to join us!
