To mark the end of the academic year, on the 30th of June, we invited the parents of our pupils to the Annual Trefoil Tutors Parents’ Social Evening as a way of saying thank you for their support throughout the year.

Held at Blue Ginger restaurant, the evening was a lovely way to get to know the parents of our students better and enjoy an evening of great food and interesting conversations. Parents were also introduced to exciting new features that will be added to our website in the new academic year.

We would like to thank all the parents who attended the event and wish you all a relaxing summer!

As you may know, at the start of the academic year, our students receive a hoodie as part of their welcome packs. In preparation for September, we would like to ask students to help us choose the colour of next year’s hoodies! This week, remember to pick up a sticker from Emilija and cast your vote by sticking it next to the hoodie colour of your choice!

We are delighted to confirm we will be running Mathematics and English mock examinations for pupils who are preparing to sit 11+ entrance examinations to grammar schools in September 2019. The mock examinations are modelled on 11+ entrance examination papers to grammar schools in the area.

We would like to remind all parents of our current students that this is the final week of priority registration for the new academic year of 2019/2020! To book your place for next year’s group lessons, please make sure we receive your payment by the 1stof July. After the 1stof July, all unbooked places will be offered to students on the waiting list on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We are delighted to announce that our office team at Trefoil Tutors has been joined by Maja Djordjic, who has taken on the role of Office Secretary. With extensive experience of managing a busy GP practice as well as running her own business, Maja will be working in our office from Monday to Friday from 9:30am – 1:30pm and will be the first point of contact for all enquiries from new and existing parents.

We would like to say a big congratulations to all our students who have sat and finished their GCSE and A-Level examinations. Very well done! After months of hard work, we hope you have a restful and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to hearing from you on Results Day!

We are excited to welcome our students back for the final set of lessons which begins on Monday, the 10th of April. We hope you had a restful half-term break and we look forward to seeing you for the final half-term this academic year!

'My experience so far has been wonderful and I’ve been provided with the best support. The work environment is very useful. I find that it is very quiet and the classrooms are equipped with good printing, whiteboards and good Wi-Fi. I find this particularly useful as whatever type of lesson plan you have, you can do!’

As Trefoil Tutors continues to grow, we are delighted to share an exciting opportunity to become part of our team.

We are currently looking for an experienced Biology, Physics and Chemistry tutors to offer group lessons in one of the three subjects to Year 10 and/or Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE examinations, as well as to prepare a Scheme of Work for the course.

We would like to remind parents that there has been a slight change to the Set 5 lesson schedule for Mathematics, English and Science, and no lessons are taking place on the following dates:

Thursday, 30th May

Friday, 31st May

Saturday, 1st June

Sunday, 2nd June

The lessons have been rescheduled to take place next week. Specific details about rescheduled lesson timings have been sent via email; should you wish to confirm the rescheduled lesson dates and times, please call our office on 0203 565 0539.

We would like to remind all parents of our current students that this is the last week of lessons for Set 5, which means this is the final week of priority registration! To book your place for the next set of lessons, please make sure we receive your payment before the end of the week. The final set of group lessons for the Set 6 will resume on the 10th of June.

‘Trefoil makes it very easy for tutors to coordinate their timings with both the tutors, their parents and slots for booking rooms in the office. I’ve never once struggled to find a time slot that works for all of us.’

As tomorrow sees the first GCSE and IGCSE mathematics examinations, I thought I would share my final tips / words of encouragement with our cohort of students.

We would like to remind parents of our current students that priority registration for Set 6 of lessons as well as the 2019/2020 academic year is now open and that your place in the lessons is reserved until the 2nd of June - please do book your child's place before this date. Any places that are not booked after this date will be offered to students on the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis. Could we kindly ask parents to fill out the reservation forms for the 2019/2020 academic year and return them to the office.
